Today marks the 15th Anniversary of Minr! To celebrate the server's anniversary, we decided to highlight its history in the form of trivia.
Artifacts
Artifacts are heads with the Minr crown on one side and a question mark on the other. Clicking these will give players a piece of trivia about a variety of topics related to Minr. These range from the very basics of the server to obscure lore I'd never heard of before! Just like many other systems on the server, trivia is broken up into several tiers: Common, Uncommon, Heroic, Epic, and Legendary. More difficult to find Artifacts will lead to more obscure trivia.
Is there a way to track all of this trivia?
Yes! In the new upstairs area of spawn, you can use the signs and chat dialogue to scroll and click through the whole trivia list in numerical order, all your found trivia, or all trivia you have left to find. When you have found an Artifact, it's trivia number will become clickable in chat.
Initially, these lists will only reveal the rarity of any given trivia number, but there are toggles that will let you see both the name of the trivia (which is typically a hint) and the map which the trivia is located in. These are meant to be fun to collect, so use these toggles however you want!
Are there any rewards?
Yes! By finding lots of Artifacts, you can now obtain many of the lost cosmetics content that were originally intended for Moneybags. Several cosmetics are also obtainable by beating difficult challenges after collecting 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 Artifacts! The first two challenges are friend-based, while the latter ones involve difficult new experiences through sets of maps! The last Artifact reward is at 300 Artifacts found, which rewards the new Red It All trail!
There are a few rewards that require epic and legendary Artifacts as well. The last of these is at 40 epic or legendary Artifacts found, which rewards the Encyclopedic title.
A final few words
I want to firstly give huge thanks to all of the people that made Artifacts possible. Chillers was the original lead for Artifacts, without whom this project would not have gotten off the ground. He, ManWithRaft, Marrimars, and lendkaru all hid several Artifacts which are in use today. pieceofcheese, wavelyte, facecat1, TheHexer, andrewforreal, and Tetration all wrote trivia for Artifacts, and they looked over previously written trivia for improvements.
Finally, I want to give my thanks to the whole Minr community. You all are amazing, and there isn't another community like this one that I've ever seen. Thank you to everyone that's been a part of it, and here's to another 15 years!
