The Minr Black Map Difficulty Survey

Hi all! It's been 5 years since the old thread on ranking the difficulty of Minr's black maps was posted. I wanted to revive the topic now that the selection of black maps has expanded considerably, and at the same time, I'm planning to compile the data into some interesting statistics based on the responses.

I considered using a Google form, but unfortunately there's not a great way to rank this many maps in a Google form without it being convoluted and tedious. So I'll just use forum responses instead, and add them into a spreadsheet. I will most likely not be including black search, puzzles, or droppers in my overall stats, since there are very few of each. Please only rank maps you have finished. Whether or not you split your rankings up by type is up to you, the info will be helpful either way.

Not completely settled yet, but I'm starting with average ranking, time and completion and time stats, etc. From there I have some ideas on how to account for gaps but it will depend heavily on how much data I get and the form it takes, and how complete the average response is, and then it'll take some experimentation to figure out how to make it useful. I'll share raw data at the same time, alongside raw data minus outliers.

parkour only, TOP=easy BOTTOM=hard

difficult to make this list for a number of reasons, namely:
1) its been a while for many of them
2) my pk abilities change with time
3) progress saver maps arent nearly as frustrating and therefore feel less hard

that said i did my best to account for these

here are my rankings, I will only be ranking primary parkour as I feel it is not fair to compare and I haven't done much of the other types, I'm ranking based on 1st and 2nd completion as most people who want to know map difficulty are not the ones that already have their own strat for each jump (I do believe a lot of players do look at videos for jumps that will be considered), I do not consider progress savers easier as I usually want to get a time on a map. I will also rank only maps I feel like I have good familliarity with, either done them a bunch of times or feel like first playthrough maximizes the maps potential. I will tend to rank maps with annoying gameplay elemקnts and oj (which ofc is an annoying gameplay element so I don't know why I seperated them) higher as the mental capacity needed to complete them is more.

I would personally say before sheol is "low black", before lost soul is "mid black" and the rest are "high black"
