Just as the title says - the second wave (or set) of Artifacts has been released!
The New Hub
Aside from the 250 new artifacts that have been hidden across the server, Artifacts has received it's own hub (courtesy of jasmine476)! This hub, shown above, can be accessed via /join artifact, /join Artifacts Hub, /warp tp artifacts (for greens+), or through the events section of spawn. The hub contains the reward listings and trivia list options from before, with a new sign added to toggle between which set of trivia the signs will display for. Players will now also receive an Artifact Guide when joining the hub that explains the different features of this permanent event!
New artifacts have their own rewards track that gives different rewards. The main ones to look out for this time around are the Bubbling With Trivia Trail for reaching 225 Set 2 Artifacts and the Thesaurus Rex Title for finding 30 Epic or better rarity Artifacts!
Super Challenges
Aside from the new standard challenges for Set 2, Artifacts now also has Super Challenges! These challenges have higher requirements for entry and are much tougher than the standard challenges, with each individual challenge being worth 600 or more Challenge Points (a lot for challenges). Each of these super challenges has its own cosmetic reward, with the final challenge rewarding the new Trivia Master Title.
Mythic Artifacts
New to this set are Mythic Artifacts, a tier of artifact above legendary made for the avid search enjoyers. These Artifacts are different because their map location is hidden until one player finds the Artifact. That first player will then be immortalized in the Artifact's trivia description and allow all subsequent players to see the map location. These Artifacts are hidden in maps with at least one other Artifact in them, including Set 1 maps.
Final Words
Using this space to shout-out a few key members that helped with the second wave, without whom would have caused the event to take much more time to create.
jasmine476 - Hid most of the Set 2 Artifacts, came up with new ideas for this wave, built the hub and event warp area, and generally worked on most aspects of Artifacts this wave. MVP!
andrewforreal - Wrote over half of the trivia for this wave, including stuff I'd never heard of despite being a longtime player, and got permission from several creators. Thanks, dude!
facecat1 - Wrote/edited a good chunk of the trivia and got permission from several creators for map locations. Thanks for the help!
