Suggested by Taniel in discord.
I think it makes sense to announce all records in chat, not just stolen times. Lots of players work to improve their own performance to get impressive times without reward. It would also motivate those who don’t to optimise their runs further.
Andrew suggested it could be spammy if players repeatedly beat their own records on uncompetitive maps. Personally I don’t think this would be an issue - there are very few scenarios where this could even occur, and you would see at most like 1 message every minute? This could potentially reduce the rarity/impact of a 1st place message, like how we see with new map releases filling the chat with 1st, 2nd and third place times, but I don’t think it would be quite so bad.
The chat message would probably have to be different from the normal one too.
